So I’ve been working on a little something,

A side project if you will, a short black and white comic, based on people I know and funny happenings and musings, I have lots of plans for this one and although outsiders wont get most of it this one is purely for my people. How can you be in it you ask? simple, do something funny around me that I can make into a comic.

I’m working on character development and nailing everyone’s little visual style, so that each character while basic in comic form is instantly recognisable.

For instance, he’s a quick one of me.

Ok! so this was the final draft of the banner, I took the time to flesh out shading and light to give the shape and definition. I’d been itching to do some digital art just filling in with grey scale but hadn’t had the time to do it so this was a welcome experiment.I was attempting to make the pic slightly manga style, with the thicker outlines. Using ‘artistic license’ I decided the shoulders needed to be slightly wider and give some muscle definition in the chest and arms.

Well this sketch was some of the first work I did on creating the banner for this site. I wanted something that tied the site together, all my sketches, digital art, designs and comics.
The only way I could figure how to do that would be to make the site basically about my work, so being as my good friend Manny called me “Colonel” once before, and others started using it, I figured it had a good ring to it, plus the initials being CC its easy to remember.Graphically I had drawn a blank for imagery though. Then while reading some details about past and up-coming Metal Gear games, I suddenly remembered the striking image of Snake (Big Boss really) in his military officers uniform in MGS3. That image stayed with me as it was quite iconic and strong, so I considered doing that but as me.
